Effective Literacy Website #5
According to my research, the Oxford Owl is an
award-winning website from Oxford University Press, created to support children’s
learning both at home and at school. Oxford owl reading provides an excellent
resource for parents and teachers looking for extra materials to improve their
kid’s vocabulary and spelling skills. Their library has over 400 e-books that
kids between 3-11 years can enjoy. This site has math games, spelling tips,
handwriting tips, creative writing tips, expert advice, phonics framework, and
free e-books. Teachers can use Oxford owl as for online teaching tool so that
each child can access the class log and be able to read storybooks from their
favorite characters. The teachers can also access storytelling videos, book
recommendations, teaching notes, and activity sheets for free. This website
will benefit children’s learning and help them enjoy learning online.
This website (https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk) will support the parents and teachers to educate their children in reading by supporting them in reading and comprehension throughout primary school. This website has provided different activities that will construct students learning skills in reading, writing, and math as well. I have explored each resource in this Oxford Owl website and enjoyed the learning materials that are provided on this website. This will help students to have the ability to educate them at home to build up their skills. This website will have the students enjoy learning about each activity that is provided and will help them enjoy attending school.
